  • Frank Ocean v Miguel: music's latest rivalry is another press-driven distraction

Miguel has made headlines for calling his own work ‘better all the way around’ – but such flaps in the media ignore what really matters: the music

In an interview with The Sunday Times, singer and songwriter Miguel rekindled rumors about a burgeoning rivalry between himself and Frank Ocean. The two artists were instantly compared to each other when they reached mainstream success in 2012. They are both black men. One listen to The Valley or Face of the Sun, featuring Lenny Kravitz, on Miguel’s new album, Wildheart, should convince audiences of this. The tracks are more indebted to the weird, half-songs of 90s indie rock than the vulnerability woven through Frank Ocean’s work.

  • Justin Bieber Joins Cast of 'Zoolander 2'

While the first Zoolander certainly had some musical star power thanks to cameos from Lenny Kravitz and David Bowie, the forthcoming sequel has ramped it up for the modern age by casting a teen heart-throb. The film has gotten just a little more ridiculously good-looking with news that Canadian pop prince Justin Bieber has joined the ranks. The news comes via Bieber's Twitter, where he shared the above image with the hashtag "#Zoolander2." It's unclear how big his role will be in the film. While big stars often just make cameos in their favourite comedies (both Kanye West and Drake...
