  • Nicki Minaj Accused of Stealing "Starships" from Clive Tanaka, Facing Lawsuit

    Pop-rap superstar Nicki Minaj had another mega-hit with her 2012 track "Starships." Now, however, dance music artist Clive Tanaka is suing her for allegedly stealing the song from him. The Chicago Tribune reports that Tanaka, who normally keeps his work and real identity shrouded in mystery, is suing Minaj for lifting his song "Neu Chicago" and repurposing it as "Starships." In addition to Minaj, the lawsuit also names co-writers RedOne, Carl Falk, Wayne Hector and Rami Yacoub.
