    Although he's best known for his guitar work in the National, Bryce Dessner is no stranger to collaborative side-projects. He recently teamed up and went classical with Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood, and back in 2013, he released Aheym with accompaniment from Kronos Quartet.   Now the masterful musician has announced plans for his next release, Music for Wood and Strings.     Brooklyn duo Buke and Gase are embarking on a tour in the fall, including their recently-announced NYC show happening at MHOW on October 10. Tickets for that show are currently on AmEx presale and go on sale to the general public Friday (8/15) at noon. No word yet on a new album but the duo, who make use of homemade instruments, posted recording pics on their Facebook back in May, and they've also been posting audio snippets, so our money is on something happening soon.

The lineup now includes Low, Kim Gordon's Body/Head, Earth, Lonnie Holley, Buke and Gase, Hailu Mergia and Low Mentality, Davd Greenberger and Prime Lens, Jenny Hval, Keiji Haino, Stephen O'Malley & Orech Ambarchi (duo), and Stephen O'Malley solo. The new additions join previously announced artists like Steve Reich, Johnny Greenwood, John Cale, Television, Julia Holter, Oneohtrix Point Never, and others.
